Site Membership
Why Join?
Joining PEIHomeSchool.com allows Island home educators to send out and receive Event Notices, post activities on our online Calendar of Events and have quick access to current information regarding home education in Atlantic Canada.
Who Can Join?
ANYONE currently homeschooling or having an interest in learning more about home education. Having full access to the website will be possible as soon as membership requirements are met (based on residency and reference verification [more on that below]).
How Can I Join?
Complete and submit the form below, and remember to include a few words about your reasons for wanting to join the site and your current situation with regards to homeschooling. Please also provide one or two names of people who are home educating on PEI, so that we can verify that people in the 'real world' community know you. Application processing will take a few days since it is done manually, but if all of the information is there it should take no longer than that.
What About My Privacy?
Protecting the privacy of our members is of utmost importance to us. As a member of PEIHomeschool.com, you are given a personal Profile page from which you can customize who sees your information, and how much of it you choose to make public. Where possible, you are given the choice to hide or reveal your e-mail address and name when posting or contacting others, at your discretion. We will NEVER divulge, sell or forward any of your information submitted for purposes of site membership or contribution, for any reason.
Disclaimer:
Site owners reserve the right to approve or decline any membership application at their discretion, and to generally make changes as needed with no advance notice. Once you are no longer actively homeschooling, or if you move out of the province, your membership will be deactivated. Please take the initiative and inform us of these kinds of changes so that we can keep our list up to date. We assume no liability for users' experience of this site; it is here to be a blessing and we ask that people use common sense and treat one another respectfully, in accordance with Christian principles. If anything posted here is deemed by us to be inappropriate or offensive, it will be removed (in the case of content), and access may be terminated (in the case of an individual user abusing their posting privileges).
