"Bolchazy-Carducci Publ., Inc.
We strive toward excellence
in both product and service
for scholars, teachers,
students, and friends so that,
as a community, we may be
a link to a better future by
bringing forward the lessons of the past.
2004 Statement:
We published over 400 titles between 1978 and 2004! 98% of these represent the ancient world: the majority of these are textbooks for high school and college use, about 25% are in scholarship. We focused 4 books on the Gilgamesh Epic because it's the genesis of our Western literature and mythology; 15 books on Vergil; and several books on each of the following: Cicero, Catullus, Horace, and Ovid. We have a complete set of school texts, grammars, ancillaries, and enrichment materials, both for Latin and Greek instruction, from basal to advanced levels. Our developmental team consists of three full-time classicists, one educational specialist, one generalist, and at least twenty free-lance editors, writers, authors, and peer readers -- all either high-school or college and university teachers.
Besides textbooks and scholarship, we promote Latin and Greek pronunciation, and Latin music on cassettes, CDs, and books. We also edit and publish a scholarly journal: The Classical Bulletin. And we reach our colleagues in classics throughout the world via our new website: www.ceecs.net. Over 3,000 Homeschoolers receive our bi-annual Latin newsletter and use our self-teaching Artes Latinae series." (to read more, please visit the website!)
